This afternoon I was out in my car driving around Yorkshire, as you do. And it's a shame I was driving because as I was travelling from place to place I came across the most amazing views of the Yorkshire countryside, and it's a shame I couldn't stop the car to take a picture.
I was thinking to myself "Oh I'd love to take a shot for the blog", but as I did so I almost crashed the car into a stationary tractor, so I stopped thinking about hills and started thinking about driving safely.
I wish I could show you how beautiful the scenery was, I really do. Hills were rolling far into the distance as far as the eye could see when still trying to drive in a straight line, and the sun was glistening off far-away buildings - probably a Greggs or something given the fact I was in Yorkshire - and the whole scene looked quite beautiful.
I think I might even go back to that look-out one day, and take that picture I wish you could all see. Oh man, to see those hills again would be akin to seeing the love

One of the most important aspects of a wedding is the first dance.
The moment when you can finally swing your hips with your new wife or husband, and everyone else gets to watch. At the weddings I've been to, this is always a lovely moment, and one that you can share with them, too. After only 20 seconds all the other couples get involved and start dancing along to the nice music themselves.
I went to a wedding a year or so ago, and this was the first wedding I had been to since I was 9 or 10. At that age I wasn't really interested in the first dance, and instead all I cared about was trying to play Super Hang On in the arcade next door with my uncle.
At last year's wedding however, I learned that with no 80's arcade cabinets around, the first dance is a decent substitute.
Before the couple took to the dancefloor I imagined they would dance the whole dance alone, I didn't know other couples would get involved, and so quickly too! Other couples were getting involved within 10 seconds of th

I am ab-solutely knackered, and predictably it's all down to a lack of sleep.
UFC 117 was on last night, which meant James and I were up all night watching men hit seven shades of poop out of each other in the name of entertainment, and it was totally worth it.
The main event didn't finish until gone 6am as the fight was in America, but even though I was fairly tired earlier on in the evening, I just couldn't fall asleep with the time came.
It was probably something to do with the 5 cups of tea I had drank in order to keep me awake until dawn, but once you've stayed up long enough to see what you want, there's just no off-switch in these situations. I wish there was, because I was tired at 1am, but come 06:15 I was wide awake. I would have driven home if I hadn't already had a few beers, so I just went to bed and tried to fall asleep.
I was so bored I even picked up a copy of FHM to read, and it was then that it occurred to me that I hadn't read a lads mag for bloody ages. I mean like a

After the total non-event that was this year's World Cup, regular domestic football is back with us today.
Today the Championship gets under way and promises to be another eventful year for fans up and down the country, not least Portsmouth fans, whose club was saved by the skin of its teeth on Thursday when they won their High Court appeal against HMRC over tax issues.
Crystal Palace got saved in similar circumstances just two months ago, but things seem a lot better now. We've bought and sold players, and as long as our finances are being checked regularly, we should be ok now.
I am genuinely excited for this new season though. More than I've ever been if I'm honest, which is weird when it comes straight after a World Cup summer. Usually I've enjoyed a great summer of highs and lows, and seeing the best players in the world play to the best of their ability, but not this year.
I knew even before the World Cup started that it wasn't going to be England's year. I know most people think th

Eminem's new album is brilliant. Like, actually brilliant.
I've been an Eminem fan for a while now. Obviously not to the point where I've seen him live or got posters on my wall, but I've certainly bought his last few albums - I started on The Slim Shady LP, which was his second - and every since that, I've been a fan.
He's incredibly talented, and thankfully his latest record, Recovery, is every bit as great as his talent allows.
I say thankfully, because his last two were pretty poor. Not just by his own high standards, but by anyone's standards. Eminem is incredibly talented, and his records are clever, funny and pretty incredible when it works, but his last couple were far from the Slim Shady we all know and love.
And he admits that too actually; on Talkin' 2 Myself - the second track on his new record - he says "It's different, them last two albums didn't count, Encore I was on drugs, Relapse I was flushin' 'em out, I've come to make it up to you now no more fuckin' around". So even

I think I've got an addiction. It's on my mind every day, and it's affecting my weight. No, it's not heroin or cigarettes, nah nah nah, its way cooler than that. It's actually my new found dependence on (wait for it) Chicken Caesar salads. The king of the salad in my opinion, and one that's ever so tasty. Oh man, where to start with my love for the old Chicken Caesar.
Well, right at the start would be as good'er place as any, so I'll start there.
My love for the salad came in 2005, when - whilst working at a holiday park - I met a chef called Seb. Seb was my housemate when we both lived on site in our caravan in the old graveyard (don't ask) and he was a brilliant chef, far too qualified for our little holiday park, and he loved to cook, day and night, both in and out of work.
Seb was eating a nice-looking salad one day in the van (which we cleverly named D-Unit due to its constant gas leak aroma) and after catching me looking at it like I wanted one of my own, he politely offered to make one

For the last week or so Channel 4 have been trailing Newlyweds: The One Year Itch. The show, which was on tonight, told the stories of 5 couples who had married last year, as Channel 4 follow them about in their first year as a married couple.
The advert wasn't all high times and happiness though, much the opposite actually. All the couples in the advert were unhappy and commented on how they "rushed into it", or they were "too young". It actually scared me a bit to tell you the truth.
Gill and I are getting married in 123 days, and although we're not rushing into it, and we're certainly not too young, these programmes which tell you that marriage is the death of a relationship are still pretty scary.
I was worried in case the programme scared me off the idea of marriage, but in actual truth it got me more excited. One thing it did make me do was remember not to DRINK WHISKY FROM A HIPFLASK ON THE WAY TO THE WEDDING.
I'm not even joking, one guy was so smashed when he got to his wedding

Foursquare, for those of who who don't know, is a location-based social network where users "check-in" to various places around the world. each check-in gives the user points, and those points can turn into "badges", which are like little Real-Life(TM) Achievements which can further bolster up your score.
You can add friends to your Foursquare profile and see where your friends have checked in, and leave tips for the various venues around town.
A user who has checked into a venue or place more times than anyone else is known as "Mayor" of that place, and being a Mayor can give you access to special promotions which the venue might put on if they're social-media aware enough.
Last week Foursquare hit a milestone; it had its 100 millionth check-in, not bad for a company that started in 2009.
An awesome achievement for a social network so young, but even with all that success, I've still got an issue with Foursquare. It's not the concept, actually I think Foursquare is pretty cool. No, very

Before I got my new iPhone I couldn’t wait to get one and use it to record YouTube clips and pot them to Twitter almost as often as I would Tweet regular old words. I was truly excited for moments where I would see or hear something amazing and have the ability to video it [...]
It had been a while since I had gone out in Leeds but that’s no longer the case after I went out last night for a mate’s birthday drinks. Mark from SPOnG turned [unconfirmed age] on Friday, but we all went out last night for his birthday drinkypoos.
The PARTAY was meant to kick off at [...]
